Owen and Beru are Luke's aunt and uncle and amongst other things, moisture farmers on Tatooine. Luke always wanted to go to the academy with his friend Biggs, but Owen always asked him to stay one more season. Owen and Beru are both earnest and hardworking, but were lead to a gruesome death by the Empire.
